Customers in Scope
• What BT customers will transfer to Vodafone as part of this agreement?
This agreement involves the transfer of BT's consumer and small business customers to Vodafone. Small business customers are generally those customers that have 6 or less telephone lines. BT will continue to serve its mid-market SME, corporate, public sector and wholesale customers.
Timing for migration
• When will consumer and small business customers be transferred?
Subject to Competition Authority Approval, these customers will become Vodafone customers on completion of this transaction. Customers are expected to be transitioned to Vodafone over the next several months, where they will be able to benefit from a wide range of new products and propositions from Vodafone.
• Can I move sooner?

Migration Process
• What do customers need to do?
Once your current BT service moves over to Vodafone, there will be no change to the technology that your current Broadband service runs on — it will still be over your fixed line.
• Will my line go down while I am being moved to VF?
No there should be no disruption to your telephone service during the transfer to Vodafone.
• Who do I call if I have any problems with the migration?
You should contact BT on 1904 until such time as your service migrates to Vodafone. Following migration you should contact Vodafone on 1907 for any future requirements. You will be notified of the date of your migration.
• How will I know when I have moved over?
We will include an information pack with your last bill indicating when you are moving over. This will be followed by a welcome letter from Vodafone confirming the move..
Products & Services
• Will BT customers remain on their existing tariffs or will they move to Vodafone's tariffs?
Customers will remain on their existing tariffs up to the point of migration, when customers will move to Vodafone at Home packages, offering additional savings and benefits.
• Will my package change?
Vodafone will also offer customers on bundled packages free calls to a set number of nominated Vodafone mobiles in addition to replicating BT's existing products and services.
A bundle package is made up of either line rental, inclusive minutes and broadband; line rental and broadband, or line rental and inclusive minutes.
• Will consumer and small business customers be better off as a result of this agreement?
All customers will enjoy great benefits as a result of this agreement. At a minimum we will offer comparable products to BT with the addition of free calls to a set number of nominated Vodafone mobiles on bundle packages. Vodafone offers a compelling range of products and services that will provide real value and best in class products and services.
• Will I be on the same call charges as I have with BT?
We are offering the same call charges to customers as they currently pay and free calls to a set number of nominated Vodafone mobiles for customers on bundle packages. Price reductions vary depending on current package.
• Can I now call mobiles for free?
We are offering customers on bundle packages free calls to a set number of nominated Vodafone mobiles in bundles.
• Will I still be able to keep my IOL or Oceanfree email address?
There will be no impact to the IOL and Oceanfree services. You will still be able to use both portals to access your email and BT will continue to provide support for all IOL and Oceanfree services for the foreseeable future.
• I am already a Vodafone customer — will I just get one bill for all services?
You will receive two bills — one for your mobile and the other for your fixed services.
• I make a lot of calls to UK fixed line numbers which are included in my current BT package. Will I still be able to make free calls to the UK?
Yes, you will continue to be able to make free calls to UK fixed numbers when you transfer to Vodafone.
• I only get billed by BT for my calls. I pay for my line rental through another telecoms provider — what will happen to me?
In this case you will continue to be a BT customer. If you wish to migrate across to Vodafone we would encourage you to sign up to BT for line rental as well as soon as possible, simply call us on 1800 923924 or email residentialsales@btireland.ie and we will arrange this for you.
• I currently get 33% off the cost of my calls to Irish mobiles with BT Call Mobile. Will this still be the case when I transfer to Vodafone?
Yes, upon transfer to Vodafone, you will continue to avail of this feature.
• Following transition to Vodafone, on which technology will my broadband and phone run?
There will be no change to the technology that your current broadband or phone service runs on.
• Can I upgrade to better broadband speeds?
Vodafone currently offers 1MB, 3MB and 7MB broadband speeds, and if your telephone line is capable of handing these speeds then you will be able to upgrade to these with Vodafone.
• Will broadband be available in my area now that I am with Vodafone?
This depends on the area that you live in. If your area has access to broadband lines then we will be able to serve you.
Billing
• Will my payment or direct debit details need to change when my Broadband and phone service transitions to Vodafone?
There is no change required on your behalf in terms of transition to Vodafone. All your current details will still stand and we will manage the migration of your service for you.
• What will I be charged for on my last BT bill and my first Vodafone bill?
Your last BT bill will only include the calls you have made during that billing period. Your first Vodafone bill will include:
— Rental in arrears for the period from your last BT bill to the end of that month
— Rental in advance which will cover to the end of the current month
— Calls made since your last BT bill
There are no additional costs during this period although due to different billing systems, your first bill from Vodafone will look different to previous bills. We will include information with your first bill to help you understand the charges.
• Will I be due a rebate from BT? Will I get my rental that I've paid in advance back from BT before I move over?
BT normally charges for rental in advance. However for the last bill you receive from BT post transfer to Vodafone, you will not be charged for rental in advance and therefore you are not due a rebate.
• What happens to the deposit I paid when I joined BT?
This deposit will be transferred over to Vodafone, and will appear as a credit on your first Vodafone bill and will be refunded against your charges for that month.
• How do I pay my bill?
There are a number of options to pay your bill. Direct Debit is recommended however you may also wish to pay your bill in the Post Office or by credit/debit card through customer services at 1907.
•Will my account number change?
Yes you will be supplied with a new Vodafone Account number once your account transfers to them.
Contracts
• What happens with my current contract with BT?
Your current contract will be transferred to Vodafone. There will be no material change to your terms and conditions or adverse changes to your tariffs.
•Will my account number change?
Yes you will be supplied with a new Vodafone Account number once your account transfers to them.
•Will I have to sign a new contract with Vodafone?
No, the existing contract will be transferred to Vodafone and the duration left on the contract will remain unchanged
IOL, Ocean, Flat-rate and No Limits customers
• What is happening to IOL and Ocean free customers?
IOL and Oceanfree do not form part of the strategic partnership with Vodafone. IOL and Oceanfree will continue to be owned and managed by BT.
• I have IOL Gold — what happens in my case?
You don't have to do anything. You will continue to be a BT customer.
• I have Flat Rate — what happens in my case?
You don't have to do anything. You will continue to be a BT customer.
• I have IOL No Limits — what happens in my case?
You don't have to do anything. You will continue to be a BT customer.
• I've got voice and broadband separately with BT. Can I avail of a combined voice and broadband package when I move to Vodafone?
Yes once your migration is complete you will be able to contact avail of one of Vodafone's bundled offerings.
• I only get billed by BT for my calls. I pay for my line rental through another telecoms provider — what will happen to me?
