Corporate Responsibility

BT is proud of its role in the social and economic development of both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and we are dedicated to playing our part.

Through a strong and committed Corporate Responsibility programme we recognise and support the dedication of the voluntary sector and their invaluable efforts in helping to build and sustain communities.

BT’s Corporate Responsibility strategy is integral to our overall business strategy. Being a responsible and sustainable business is more important than ever. Sustainability is higher up the agendas of media, government, consumers and businesses than ever before.

BT is proud to be considered a leader in Corporate Responsibility. Last year we were named 'Company of the Year' in the Business in the Community Awards for Excellence. We are also sector leaders in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the eighth consecutive year – an unprecedented result for the sector.

The central theme for all our activities is communications, reflecting the company's own role in society. We look for community partners who share our commitment to developing rewarding relationships in which good communications are a fundamental part. Our projects also, where possible, reflect our commitment to innovation and the use of technology, to high standards in the service they provide and to continuous improvement for all our customers.

We work hard to build corporate responsibility into the way we run our business. Excellent customer service is our number one priority.
